Corpus Christi standouts Jerry Belmontes (10-0) and Alfonso Lopez (17-0) won their bouts in convincing fashion as part of Saturday’s Hall-of-Fame Fight Night at Whataburger Field.

The crowd of over 6,000 watched seven fights, including a technical knockout by super featherweight Brandon Rios (22-0-1), and the second induction ceremony of Corpus Christi’s Boxing Hall of Fame. Former world title contender Harold Ray Warren joined trainer Bobby Garza and trainer and coach Emilio Sanchez in the 2009 class of inductees.
